Our New Vice President Richard Porter
spends Saturday's and Weekday's working
on Porterville graves.

I've been up to the Porterville cemetery all afternoon cleaning, trimming, weed-whacking, raking, etc., etc.
Spent about five hours up there working. Got home late, but I got a lot done up there.
Cleaned up Sanford & Nancy's, Chauncy's, Justin & Mary Mariah's, their children, and then a bunch of other Porter graves that were in bad need of cleaning (not even sure who they come through).
Then I cleaned up some on the other side of my family (Florence's) who are also buried up there. My mother was a Florence.
I've already ordered the headstone for Justin Rockford and Mary Mariah... it should be placed within a month. I'll send you pictures when it's finished.

Good news! I traveled up to the Porterville cemetery this morning and met the guys from American Monument. We got the headstone for Justin Rockford and Mary Mariah Porter placed.
As you may or may not know, Justin is the son of Chauncy Warriner and Mary Mariah is the daughter of Lyman Wight. Clarence Sylvanous Porter, their son... is my grandfather, and my father is Leo Porter.
While they were there I had them repair the headstone for Nephi Porter, which is close to Justin and Mary's. It was completely broken off it's base. I'll attach a few pictures of today's events.
I want to give a special thanks to the Sanford Porter Sr. family organization for the $200.00 contribution to this project.
