Nathan Porter Deed to Sanford Porter


To all people to whom these presents shall come Greeting. Know ye that I Nathan Porter of West Springfield, the county of Hampden and Commonwealth of Massachusetts yeoman for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and eighty dollars current money of the State of New York to me in hand paid before the insealing hereof by Sanford Porter of Augusta in the County of Onida and state of New York yoman the receipt whereof I do hearby acknolidge and am fully satisfied contented and paid have give granted bargained sold aliened relesed conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do freely clearly and absolutely give grant bargain sell alien release convey and confirm unto him the said Sanford his heirs and assigns forever a certain parcel of land lying in the town of Libety and State of Ohio and County of Trumbull containing fifty six acres being a part of lot number twenty three being land conveyed by Peniel Cheney as an original proprietor to Septimus Barstow and from said Barstow to me the said Nathan Porter. To have and to hold the before granted premises on the North part of said lot onn the west side of the rode with the appurtenances and privileges thereunto belonging to him the said Sanford Porter his heirs and assigns to him and their own proper use benefit and behoof forevermore. And I the said Nathan Porter for myself and my heirs executors and administrators do covenant promise and grant unto and with the said Sanford and his heirs and assigns forever that before and until the ensealing hereof I am the true sole proper and lawful owner and possessor of the before granted premises with the appurtenances and have in myself good right full power and lawful authority to give grant bargain sell alien release convey and confirm the same as aforesaid and that free and clear and freely and clearly executed acquitted and discharged of and from all former and other gifts grants bargains sails leases mortgages will intails jointures dowries third executions and incumbrances whatsoever And furthermore I the said Nathan Porter for myself and for my heirs executors and Adminstrators do hereby covenant promise and engage the before granted premises with the appurtenances unto him the said Sanford Porter his heirs and assigns forever to warrant secure and defend against the lawful claims and demands of any person or persons whatsoever In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty first day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty two.

Sanford Porter & wife Deed to Andrew Clarke

To all people to whom these presents come Greeting - Know ye that we Sanford and Nancy Porter wife of the said Sanford of Liberty Township Trumble County and State of Ohio for the consideration of three hundred dollars rec'd to our full satisfaction of Andrew Clark of Vienna Township & County & State aforesaid do give grant bargain sell and confirm unto him the said Andrew Clark the following described premises or tract of land situate in Liberty or in Township number three in the second range of Townships in the Connecticut Western Reserve in the State of Ohio and County of Trumble and is known by being the north part of lot number twenty three on the west side of the senter road leading from Vienna to Liberty senter lying south and adjoining the said Andrew Clark's farm containing fifty six acres being the same peace or parcel of land deeded by Nathan Porter to me the said Sanford Porter and I do hear by convey the same to the said Andrew Clark. To have and to hold the above granted bargained premises with the appurtenances there unto belonging unto him the said Andrew Clark and to his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof. And also I the said Sanford Porter do for myself and my executors and administrators covenant with the said Andrew Clark and with his heirs and assigns that at & until the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever and furthermore I the said Sanford Porter do by these presents bind myself and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted & bargained premises to him the said Andrew Clark and to his heirs & assigns against all lawful claims and demands whatsoever. And I the said Nancy Porter do hear by remise release and forever quit claim unto the said Andrew Clark and to his heirs and assigns all my right and title of dower in and to the above described premises-in witness whereof we have hearunto set our hands and seals this twenty fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four. Sanford Porter Nancy Porter Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of William Bard Joel T. Collins The State of Ohio Trumbull County Liberty. September 25th, 1824 there personally appeared before me, Wm. Bard a justice of the peace in and for said County, Sanford Porter signer and sealer of the within instrument of writing and acknowledged the same to be his free act and deed. Also appeared the within named Nancy Porter, wife of the said Sanford Porter and having been examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the within instrument in writing to her fully made known and explained did declare that she did voluntarily sign and as her act and deed did seal and deliver the same without an coercion or compulsion from her said husband-acknowledged before me.
